WHAT IS ACCESS:HORROR?

Access:Horror is a disability-led horror and experimental film festival packed with films, talks, filmmaker conversations and very good monsters. Catch us in person, online on FilmChief, and later with selected shorts on Shudder.

DO I HAVE TO BE DISABLED TO ATTEND?

No. Access:Horror centers disabled filmmakers and audiences, but the festival is for anyone who loves horror, genre film and a good monster.

HOW CAN I WATCH THE 2026 FESTIVAL?

There are three viewing phases: an in-person program at Alamo Drafthouse Winchester on September 25th, an extended online program on FilmChief in October through November 1st, and selected shorts on Shudder from December 1st through January 31st.

WHERE CAN I FIND ACCESS INFORMATION?

You will find access information on the Accessibility page and alongside the events and screenings it applies to. You should not have to solve a mystery just to work out whether you can watch a horror film.

WILL FILMS HAVE CAPTIONS AND AUDIO DESCRIPTION?

Each film and program listing will tell you what access features are available, including captions and audio description where provided, before you book or press play.

CAN I REQUEST AN ACCESS ACCOMMODATION?

Yes. Email info@accesshorror.com with what you need. Earlier requests give us more room to plan, but you can contact us at any point.

HOW DO I SUBMIT A FILM?

Submission information is published when each festival call opens. Join the mailing list or check the Filmmakers page for the next call and 2027 updates.
